No patients had axillary lymph node involvement. The mean lesion size was 0.95 cm. Thirteen lesions (76%) were clinically occult. Because of the characteristic histological pattern of infiltrative growth and marked desmoplasia, 81 % (13/16) were seen on xeromammography as scirrhous masses, 19% (3/16) only as microcalcifications. None appeared as a well-circumscribed mass or poorly defined density.Article HistoryReceived: Dec 5 1977Accepted: June 7 1978Published in print: Nov 1978 FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByBreast tubular carcinoma at parasternal and retro-nipple areaJunhuaShi, JunliShi, ShengboYang19 March 2021 | Medicine, Vol. 100, No. 11Pure and Mixed Tubular Carcinoma of the Breast: Mammographic and Sonographic Differential FeaturesHee JungShin, Hak HeeKim, Sun MiKim, Dae BongKim, Ye RiLee, Mi-JungKim, GyungyubGong2007Jan1 | Korean Journal of Radiology, Vol. 8, No. 2Stellate images: anatomic and radiologic correlationsP.Cherel, V.Becette, C.Hagay2005Apr1 | European Journal of Radiology, Vol. 54, No. 1Mammographic and Sonographic Features of Tubular Breast CarcinomaSantaDaniele, MassimoImbriaco, AlbinaRiccardi, GuerinoSelva, Loredanadi Nuzzo, MarcoSalvatore, AntonioSodano23 April 2018 | Tumori Journal, Vol. 89, No. 4Probability of axillary node involvement in patients with tubular carcinoma of the breastGPapadatos, A MRangan, TPsarianos, OUng, RTaylor, JBoyages4 December 2002 | British Journal of Surgery, Vol. 88, No. 6Tubular Breast Cancer Experience at Washington University: A Review of the LiteratureDerek W.Holland, Leslie D.Boucher, Joanne E.Mortimer2001Oct1 | Clinical Breast Cancer, Vol. 2, No. 3Imaging Evaluation of Spiculated MassesDorit D.Adler2000Jan1Tubular Carcinoma of the BreastDeclan G.Sheppard, Gary J.Whitman, Bruno D.Fornage, Carol B.Stelling, Phan T.Huynh, Aysegul A.Sahin2000Jan1 | American Journal of Roentgenology, Vol. 174, No. 1Cases of the Day1Breast Imaging Case of the DayDvora Cyrlak, , Philip M.
