ResumoThis article discusses the river-lake route via Presidente Ríos lake, which would facilitate connectivity to and from more southern latitudes, across the Taitao Peninsula in what is now the Aysén Region. The route runs north-west of more frequented -and better documented -routes via San Rafael Lagoon, the Ofqui Isthmus and the Lúcac and San Tadeo Rivers. The analysis is based on historical and ethnographical information, and its purpose is to report on a specific line of research on later movement itineraries in western insular Patagonia.
