Paul Lewinson, a founder and fellow of the SAA, died at his home in Arlington, Viriginia, on 10 October 1988. He was noted for his many contributions to the archival profession. Paul was born in New York City on 19 February 1900. He graduated from a prestigious high school in the city, where his performance was so outstanding that newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer paid his entire tuition, plus an annual stipend, to attend the School of Journalism at Columbia University.
