Resumo

The author reviews the results of 217 salpingostomies 73 tubal implants 18 stomatoplasties 16 personal operations on patients with a tubal pregnancy in their only remaining tubes and 268 operations for tubo-ovarian adhesions. Techniques operative complications and sequelae are considered. Depending on patient selection and the experience of the operator the salvage of live babies after surgery for blocked tubes varied from 1 live birth for 3 1/2 operations to 1 live birth for 6 1/2 procedures. It is felt that most extensive and complicated operations for infertility in tubal plastic surgery are followed by extensive and complicated adhesions. For the greatest success sterility surgery should be as simple as possible.(Authors modified)
