ResumoThe study of the transcendental number π is one that has fascinated mathematicians and students for many centuries. Archimedes, Ptolemy, Leibniz, William Brouncker, Ludolph van Ceulen, John Maehin, and countless others have suggested various methods for approximating the value of π. I should like to suggest a method that can be understood by good algebra students having the proper teacher guidance.
