Study of the avifauna associated with wetlands situated in the Mascarenhas de Moraes Park, urban zone of Porto Alegre - RS, Brazil. In the present study, the avifauna of the Mascarenhas de Moraes Park, situated in the northern part of Porto Alegre (29o 59' S; 51o 11' W), was registered, including observations of the species breeding in the area. Thirty-eight species were identified over a period of 25 hours, 31.58% of which presented evidence of breeding. 41.67% of the breeding species consisted of Ardeidae.
