ResumoHemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening syndrome that often occurs in immunocompromised patients. We report the first case of HLH due to Bartonella henselae infection in a patient with human immunodeficiency virus infection. Early recognition of HLH and B. henselae through liver biopsy and serological tests led to the patient's recovery.
