ResumoNo intuito de contribuir com os estudos voltados as memorias de formacao emmusica, o presente artigo, decorrente de pesquisa realizada no ano de 2012, temcomo objetivo compreender as memorias de iniciacao musical da professora demusica Monica Pinz Alves, de forma a conhecer as lembrancas ligadas a personagens,acontecimentos e lugares (Pollak, 1992). Alem disso, busca refletir sobre como e oque esta professora rememora, no que tange ao seu processo de iniciacao musicalate a entrada na profissao. Os referenciais teorico-metodologicos adotados baseiamsenos estudos (auto)biograficos desenvolvidos junto a professores (Abrahao, 2010;Bueno, 2002; Novoa, 1995) e na historia oral (Meihy, 2005), trazendo discussoes sobrememoria (Pollak, 1992) e narrativa. Neste artigo, as memorias da professora Monicasao trazidas com enfase nos contextos e experiencias que a produziram, em especiala familia e a igreja, as aulas de musica e as praticas iniciais na carreira docente. In order to contribute to the research about memories of formation in music, thispaper, which is the result of an investigation undertaken in 2012, seeks to understandthe musical initiation memories of the music teacher Monica Pinz Alves, so as to getto know the memories attached to characters, events and places (Pollak, 1992). Inaddition, it seeks to reflect on how and what this teacher rememorates, regarding theprocess of her musical initiation up to the beginning of her profession. The theoreticaland methodological frameworks are based on (auto) biographical studies developedwith teachers (Abrahao, 2010; Bueno, 2002; Novoa, 1995) and on oral history (Meihy,2005), bringing discussions about memory (Pollak, 1992) and narrative. In this paper,the memories of Monica are revealed with emphasis on the contexts and experiencesthat produced it, particularly the family and the church, the music classes and the initialpractices in the teaching career.
