O objetivo central deste artigo e destacar alguns acontecimentos da trajetoria do pastor Joao Dias de Araujo, ocorridos durante as decadas de 1960 e 1970. Na maior parte deste periodo atuou como docente do Seminario Presbiteriano do Norte, na cidade do Recife. Atividade que apos 1964 foi marcada pela vigilância e perseguicao praticada pela Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil e pelos orgaos de seguranca e informacao. Neste contexto, em 1970, foi expulso daquela instituicao de ensino, tendo dado inicio a um prolongado embate na Justica do Trabalho contra o Seminario e a Igreja. Neste artigo utilizamos o metodo da escrita de trajetoria, nao a entendendo como algo uniforme, unico e linear. Buscamos analisar as rupturas, inconstâncias e deslocamentos na vida do pastor Joao Dias. Por meio do estudo dessa trajetoria, concluimos como tentou se associar a denominacao de comunista ao pastor, desqualificando suas acoes. Palavras-chave : Golpe civil-militar. Perseguicao. Repressao. Abstract This article’s main goal is to highlight some events from the lifetime of the pastor Joao Dias de Araujo, which occurred during the 1960s and the 1970s. For the biggest part of this period, he worked as a teacher at the Northern Presbyterian Seminary, in Recife. After 1964, his teach activity was marked by the surveillance and harassment used by the Brazilian Presbyterian Church and by the Government’s security and intelligence agencies. On this context, in 1970, the pastor was expelled from the seminary, therefore he started a long dispute at the Justica do Trabalho against the Seminary and the Presbyterian Church. In this article we use the trajectory of writing method, does not understand it as something uniform, unique and linear. We analyze the breaks, inconsistencies and displacement in the life of Pastor Joao Dias. By studying this course, we conclude as he tried to associate the name of the Communist pastor, disqualifying their actions. Keywords : Civil-military coup. Persecution. Repression.
