ResumoThe precision and accuracy of various estimates of experimental tumor size from lineal dimensions were examined on capsules implanted subcutaneously and inflated to precisely known weights in Fischer 344 rats. The method of tying the final product of three dimensions to the measured excised weight gave a value with no significant systematic bias and the lowest error of estimate (root mean square of deviation=4.35 g).
