ResumoResumo : A colecao do Herbario Professor Honorio Monteiro (MUFAL) e aqui apresentada, bem como os projetos e contribuicoes do Herbario para a catalogacao da diversidade vegetal de Alagoas. O MUFAL possui atualmente 3.334 exsicatas tombadas e informatizadas, das quais Fabaceae e a familia melhor representada. Tais colecoes representam esforcos de coletas em diferentes pesquisas de levantamento floristicos, especialmente, nos biomas Mata Atlântica e Caatinga. Abstract : The collection of Professor Honorio Monteiro (MUFAL) herbarium is presented here, as well as its projects and contributions to the cataloging of plant diversity in Alagoas. The MUFAL herbarium currently has 3,334 records computerized, including Fabaceae family is the best represented. These collections represent efforts in different research floristic survey, especially in the Atlantic Forest and Caatinga biomes. Palavras-chave : exsicatas, colecoes biologicas, Maceio.
