A new species, Stigmaeus shabestariensis n. sp., is described and illustrated from specimens collected from soil of an apple orchard at Shabestar (Shendabad), East Azarbaijan, Iran. This species is distinct from similar species of Stigmaeus in having two extra isolated shields.
