Este artigo se propoe a apresentar algumas ideias gerais sobre o conceito contemporâneo de avaliacao segundo o sistema de ensino a distância (EAD) na Universidade Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe (UNIARP) de Cacador-SC. Seu principal objetivo nao se redunda a abordar as solucoes ou os problemas propriamente ditos, mas fazer refletir sobre os objetivos da avaliacao no seculo XXI e a sua relacao com o advento das novas tecnologias de aprendizagem, destacando sobremaneira o papel da autonomia e da disciplina do estudante do sistema EAD. A visao que temos atualmente e a de que, gracas a internet banda larga e os smartphones, o conhecimento sera mais facilmente aprendido ou assimilado, por ser mais facil de ser encontrado. Contudo, essa prerrogativa nao pode ser considerada como verdadeira, pois os resultados mostram que nao vivemos em um mundo de pessoas mais sabias ou inteligentes por causa da tecnologia. Desse modo, o artigo tenta demonstrar que e necessario disciplina e organizacao do tempo e do espaco do academico, bem como, a colaboracao dos tutores e equipe tecnica para que o conhecimento transmitido pela EAD seja, de fato, verdadeiro e real. Ao mesmo tempo, avaliar um estudante, na contemporaneidade, nao e tarefa facil, tendo em vista a multiplicidade epistemologica de criterios avaliativos. Porem, acredita-se que o aprender e o ensinar, pelo sistema EAD, podem ser servicos plenos de sucesso se realizados com dedicacao e interesse. Palavras-chave : Avaliacao. Tecnologia. Autonomia. ABSTRACT This article aims to present some general ideas about the contemporary concept of assessment according to the distance education system (DE) at Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe University (UNIARP) in Cacador-SC. Its main purpose is not redounds to address the problems or the solutions themselves , but do reflect about the assessment´s objectives in XXI century and its relationship with the advent of new learning technologies , greatly emphasizing the role of autonomy and student discipline in the distance education system. The vision we have today is that , thanks to broadband internet and smartphones , the knowledge will be easier to be learned or assimilated, ´cause it is easier to be found. However , this prerogative can´t be regarded as true, because the results show that we don´t live in a world of more wise or intelligent people by the reason of the technology´s use. Thus, the article attempts to show that it´s necessary discipline and academic time organization as well as the tutors collaboration and technical staff for the knowledge transmitted by Distance Education, be, in fact, true and real . At the same time assessing a student, in contemporary times , is not a easy task, having in time the epistemological multiplicity of evaluative criteria . However, it is believed that the learn and teach the DE system, can be a successful service if undertaken with great care and interest. Keywords : Evaluation. Technology. Autonomy. Education.
