Resumoyears b.p. (Vicentini, 1993).Fire is considered as one of the most influential factors defining the Cerrado's physiognomy (Sato, 2003).However, the influence of fire is not necessarily negative, and Van-Wilgen (2009) pointed that a good deal of vegetation heterogeneity in cerrado may be positively influenced by fire and other intermediate disturbance regimes.
