ResumoThis guideline applies to central venous access in adult cancer patients, which includes peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), tunnelled central catheters and totally implantable devices. Since most evidence comes from the use of central venous catheters (CVCs) in patients with a diversity of pathologies, some recommendations are based on guidelines and studies which may lack some specificity for cancer patients.
