AbstractAppreciation of the role of allergens in atopic dermatitis has at least two therapeutic implications: Avoidance of identified allergens may reduce or even eliminate the need for other treatments. On the other hand, circumstances such as fungal colonization may maintain symptoms even when other causative factors have been addressed.
