ResumoIn this paper we will deal with music related co-creation practices from the perspective of transmedia literacies. We will take as a case example “Evolution of Get Lucky”, a collective experiment by musician PV Nova, that consisted in taking one of the most popular pop songs of 2013, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, re-interpreting it through the conventions of different musical decades and inviting users to playfully build the pieces of a participatory music video. “Evolution of Get Lucky” is a perfect opportunity to reflect on transmedia literacies, as well as on appropriations of popular culture, the social shaping of music memory and the notion of nostalgia. Our approach to the case study will be informed by our previous work on participatory culture and co-creation practices.
