ResumoBetween 2012 and 2014, researchers from three different Federal Universities of Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with the Brazilian Army, developed a project for creating a cast of tourist itineraries and a webdocumentary, in order to retrieve the memory and reinforce the importance of five Guanabara Bay fortifications (Copacabana Fort, Fort Duque de Caxias, Fortaleza Sao Joao, Fortaleza Santa Cruz da Barra, Forte Sao Luiz e Pico). The characteristics of the sites have raised a differentiated approach to tourism planning considering the significance of these spaces for those who works or lives there. The methodology of creating intineraries differed from the traditional emphasis. It was based on dialogue as support for decision-making, aiming to harmonize the demands and interests of those involved and the balance in the sharing of benefits. This article presents a summary of the project, its theoretical contributions and the production of the webdocumentary.
