ResumoHow is Italy represented in contemporary Portuguese crime fiction? In João Tordo’s O Bom Inverno (2010) and Margarida Utne’s O último comboio para Roma (1998) we find a few answers to this question, as the two novels approach Italian identity quite differently, despite falling both into the most common socio-cultural stereotypes on the topic.
