ResumoThe tumultuous events of the autumn have revealed fault-lines running through the European regulatory system. The failure of the Icelandic banks Glitnir, Landsbanki and Kaupthing have left considerable questions around the efficacy of the split between home and host state competence, and the willingness of the authorities to respect their European obligations in the face of domestic crisis.
