ResumoThis paper presents a refl ection about guidelines and parameters for that the Brazilian government has implemented for schools, with the purpose of reducing the social and cultural differences existing in the country.The aim of this study is to investigate the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs) in order to identify and understand how the issue of sexual orientation is presented in documents offi cials.This is a qualitative study with document analysis and subsequent discourse analysis based on feminist theories and gender studies.The results presented how positive include the issue of sexual orientation 1
