O GENOGRAMA E O ECOMAPA COMO INSTRUMENTOS PARA COMPREENDER A REDE FAMILIAR DE UMA PESSOA COM TRANSTORNO MENTAL: UM ESTUDO DE CASO

RESUMO : A Atencao Basica e uma das portas de entrada para que a demanda da Saude Mental tenha acesso aos servicos de saude. Por isso se faz necessaria a utilizacao de instrumentos que permitam conhecer aspectos relevantes que envolvam a pessoa portadora de transtorno mental, tais como as relacoes com o meio e os vinculos familiares, pois sabe-se que a familia participa ativamente como unidade mantenedora do quadro de saude psiquica do ente. Nesse processo surge o genograma, uma estrutura que representa graficamente a arvore genealogica familiar, e o ecomapa, instrumento utilizado para verificar os tipos de vinculos estabelecidos com a rede familiar e social. O objetivo deste estudo foi compreender a rede familiar de uma pessoa com transtorno mental acompanhada pela equipe da Estrategia Saude da Familia. Metodologicamente esta pesquisa e caracterizada como um estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados foi realizada por intermedio de entrevista, seguindo roteiro semiestruturado. Pela analise funcional do genograma, e possivel identificar a existencia de varios fatores que podem ter sido determinantes para o desencadeamento da depressao e da dependencia quimica, gerando um comprometimento das relacoes estabelecidas, entao observadas por intermedio do ecomapa. O transtorno depressivo e um estado patologico que preocupa a saude publica. Capacitar profissionais quanto ao uso de instrumentos capazes de compactar a grande quantidade de informacoes obtidas pode facilitar a compreensao do meio em que o individuo vive, identificando as falhas e tracando planos de tratamento as pessoas com sofrimento psiquico. Genogram and ecomap as tools for understanding the family network of a person with mental disorder: a case study ABSTRACT: Primary health care is one of the gateways for people with mental health disorders to gain access to health care services. Therefore, there is need to use tools to investigate the relevant aspects involving a person with mental illness. Such aspects include the patients' relations with the environment and their family ties, because the family plays an active role in the mental health of individuals. In this process, a genogram consists of a graphic display showing person's family relationships and medical history, and an ecomap consists of a tool used to investigate the types of bonds established with the family and social network. The objective of the present study was to understand the family network of a person with mental disorder being treated by the Family Health Strategy team. This is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews according to a semi-structured questionnaire. Based on a functional analysis of a genogram, it is possible to identify several determinants that may trigger depression and chemical dependency, thus having a harmful effect on the relationships observed by means of an ecomap. Depression is a reason for concern in terms of public health. Health professionals should be trained in the use of tools encompassing a large amount of information in order to facilitate their understanding of the environment where individuals live. Therefore, these professionals would be able to recognize problems and design treatment plans for people with psychological distress. Keywords: Ecomap. Genogram. Mental disorder.
