Resumo

Este artigo disserta sobre obras literarias que criaram, narrativamente, diversas facetas da lenda arturiana durante a Idade Media e a retomada deste tema na Idade Contemporânea por influencia do Romantismo. Busca desembaracar essas construcoes de personagens, ciclos e estorias de forma a cartografar a ressurgencia de certos temas inerentes as lendas arturianas e como estes foram ressignificados com a mudanca do tempo. Partindo de uma triade de obras fundamentais proposta por Jenkins (1994) e analisando as obras literarias mais importantes do sec. XX, compreende-se que a lenda sobre Arthur e criatura das sociedades nas quais floresceu, tendo sido apreendida e remodelada diversas vezes. Tornando-se, assim, um reflexo cultural de diferentes epocas. Palavras-chave: Lendas arturianas; Literatura; Fantasia medieval. Here lies Arthur: Arthurian literature in the Middle Ages and its revival in Contemporary Age Abstract: This article lectures on literary works that have narratively created many facets of Arthurian legend in the Middle Ages and the recapture of this theme in the Contemporary Age under the influence of Romanticism. It tries to disentangle these characters, cycles and stories in order to map the resurgence of certain issues inherent to the Arthurian legends and how they have been reinterpreted with the changing of time. From a triad of fundamental books proposed by Jenkins (1994) and analyzing the most important literary works of the XXth century., it is understood that the legend of Arthur is a creature of the societies in which it flourished, having been seized and remodeled several times.
