Resumo A pesquisa busca refletir o conceito de mundo natural nas paisagens pintadas pelo artista holandes Frans Post como tambem discutir a propria paisagem “criadora” do Brasil. Assim pretendemos fundir imagem e arte para entender as representacoes da America holandesa durante o seculo XVII. O olhar exotico do europeu (holandes) sobre as possessoes do Novo Mundo serve para compreender a visao do estrangeiro, as imagens vistas por aqui de uma natureza exotica, selvagem e virgem produz uma visao neerlandesa das paisagens coloniais da America. Vamos utilizar como fonte de pesquisa a tela “ Vista das ruinas de Olinda ” de Frans Post, pintor este foi o primeiro artista a retratar as paisagens americanas. Buscaremos trabalhar com uma metodologia que privilegie a arte, a imagem e as leituras da historia colonial do Brasil seiscentista. Palavras-chave : Paisagem. Arte. Frans Post. Abstract This research aims to reflect on the concept of natural world in landscapes by Dutch painter Frans Post as well as discuss creative landscape of itself. Thus, we intend to join image and art in order to understand the representations of Dutch America dating from the seventeenth century, which reproduce an exotic, wild and virgin nature, and represent exogenous vision of the Netherlands, and more generally of Europe, about American colonial landscapes. For this purpose, we use as research source the screen View of the Ruins of Olinda, Brazil by Frans Post, the first artist to portray American landscapes, and we give focus on art, image and readings of the seventeenth-century colonial history.
