O presente artigo tem como objetivo examinar a crítica dirigida por Hobbes à metafísica aristotélica e mostrar que, segundo o filósofo inglês, o verbo ser não é outra coisa senão um signo de ligação por meio do qual construímos proposições categóricas.Abstract: This article aims to examine the criticism addressed by Hobbes to Aristotelian metaphysics and to show that, according to the English philosopher, the verb to be is but a sign of connection through which we construct categorical propositions.
