ResumoForty-one species identified in the bycatch of small sea-bob shrimp (Xiphopenaeus kroyeri) fishing trawlers that landed in Pereque beach in Guaruja, SP, during 1987 - 1989 are listed. Seven species, due to its frequency and number in the samples, constitute a group highly related to the studied environment, and can be considered the typical sea-bob shrimp bycatch until 15 m depth in Sao Paulo State coast. For these species, the wide-ranging length variation and the occurrence of individuals in different maturation stages reinforce the idea that they share the same environment with the sea-bob shrimp, in the most part or in their entire life cycle.
