Resumo

The effects of reactant-ion electronic states on charge transfer cross sections involving 0.6- to 3.0-keV ${\mathrm{C}}^{+}$, ${\mathrm{N}}^{+}$, and ${\mathrm{O}}^{+}$ ions with ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ and ${\mathrm{N}}_{2}$ molecules are illustrated. Total cross sections, computed from state-selected cross sections and weighted according to reactant-ion-beam state distributions, are compared with the recently published data of Lockwood et al., which were obtained at higher energies.
