Doping in Sports

Controversies between players and clubs often lead to decisions of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber which include financial remedy. This can entail serious consequences both players and clubs. Banning a player or a club from participating in official matches/tournaments, imposing a life ban (as in the case of Ukrainian referee Oleg Oriekhov) or ordering that compensation be paid are just a few examples. The author describes how an appellant can ensure that the financial order is not enforced and the disciplinary sanction is not served pending the outcome of the appeal.
