Resumo

The birth of rock’n’roll bands, in the Sixties, was a phenomenon that had a huge impact upon the musical industry of the xxth century. Before that, there were vocal or instrumental bands, singers playing with their own band, singers playing an instrument, composers, writers, arrangers... But in England, the Beatles were at the origin of a new phenomenon, the rock’n’roll band, wherein all the members shared those previous tasks. So, all over the world, hundreds of thousands of young people, more or less musicians, created their own band, which led to a flux of new songs. In this way, the birth of rock’n’roll bands contributed to the development of the music industry, but also of new production methods.
