Resumo

The article focuses on the issues about the legitimate author of the painting The Virgin and Child with two angels including the artists Andrea del Verrocchio, Wilhelm von Bode, and Fra Filippo Lippi. It states that the National Gallery has rejected the earlier attribution to Lippi and considers it as Florentine. Moreover, it notes that Martin Davies has categorized the picture as the work of an anonymous Florentine, wherein he mentions that its execution is near to the style of Verrocchio.
