DOI: 10.12957/dep.2016.16716 Resumo O presente artigo busca analisar a problemática das assimetrias entre os gêneros na composição da Justiça brasileira e suas possíveis relações com os obstáculos para que os vários ramos do Poder Judiciário considerem, em suas práticas jurisdicionais e de gestão interna, as relações de poder que constituem as categorias gênero, raça-etnia e classe social. Argumentaremos sobre a relevância de uma composição de gênero e étnico-racial mais equitativa do Judiciário como estratégia de fortalecimento da sua legitimidade democrática e das suas condições institucionais para a garantia dos direitos humanos das mulheres. Abstract This paper intends to analyze the problem of gender disparities in the Brazilian Court composition and its possible relation with the obstacles so that the various areas of the judiciary consider in their judicial practices and internal management, power relations that constitute the gender, race, ethnicity, and class categories. We will argue about the relevance of gender composition and an more equitable racial-ethnic judiciary as a strategy of strengthening its democratic legitimacy and its institutional conditions to guarantee the women human rights.
