Resumogotten Heritage (English Journal, September 1971) suggests that we teachers look at our nation's rich heritage of oral material: songs, folktales, legends, etc. Many publishers are issuing separate anthologies of black literature and Haslam himself is the editor of a new anthology, Forgotten Pages of American Literature (Houghton).
