In this article it is tried to offer a panoramic vision about the sector of the television generalist in Spain. Two great sections have considered: a first block explanatory on the origins of the television and their evolution until 2004, making special incidence in the configuration of the television like service public and in the one of the deregulation of the sector. And a second block in which the reforms are explained that are being implanted in the Spanish television from 2004, period that in this country, agrees with an electoral change.
