An independent cinema current, free frommarketing structures and main stream ideologies,started to develop in the late thirties. Thesixties brought back a similar use of this typeof cinema in French and American universities.An alternative cinema production was developedeven in Spain, although in smaller scale due topolitical circumstances. It was developed rather late compared with other countries.
