This paper analyses the representation of fears and traumaticevents about the exile in the argetine cinema ofthe middle 80's trhough the films B amor es una mujergorda (1987) by Alejandro Agresti and Las veredas deSaturno (1986) by Hugo Santiago. We use this filmes todistinguish between fear and anguish [angst\. Also, topropose the cinema and the films as scenarios of thesocial memories wich constructs specific narrative formsto show the statal repression and the politic violence inthe recent past of the Argentina.
