ResumoThe article presents a reflection on the reception of the work of French painter Robert Delaunay in Germany in the beginning of the 20th century, and on the work of German artist Ludwig Meidner. Topics include the closeness that Meidner felt with the work of Delaunay, the concept of productive misunderstanding applied to the work of Delaunay in Germany, and the vision of big cities in the work of Meidner. The literary production of Meidner before and after World War I is also examined in the article.
