Resumo

Orthopyroxenes and clinopyroxenes-bearing granulites from the migmatitic-granulitic region of São José do Rio Pardo, São Paulo, Brazil have been analyzed by electron microprobe. The distribution coeficient Fe-Mg and the crystallization trends of the analyzed 9 pairs of clino-and orthopyroxenes, are consistent with the formation of these minerals under highgrade metamorphic conditions. A regional temperature of about 795-883°C has been inferred using the geothermometer of Wood and Banno (1973).
