Mental Health Treatment and Access

The rising cases of mental diseases are an increasing challenge to Western societies. The most important reasons for this development are demographical, social and medical factors, among others. A number of questions arise when aiming at finding the best ways to support people with mental illness. What are the structures of mental health care? How does prevention work? For answering these questions it is important to look beyond national facts and figures. A European perspective on mental health care structures and research is needed.
