Resumo

Tarn Moor is an area of undulating moorland lying to the west of Sunbiggin Tarn, in the parish of Orton in central Westmorland. (Nat. Grid Reference NY/6707, lat. 54? 28' N., long. 2? 30' W.) It forms an uneven plateau about 250 m. (825 ft.) above Ordnance Datum with ridges to the north and south rising to somewhat over 300 m.
