ResumoZeolite (Na-A, Na-Y, H-ZSM5) films were prepared by the electrophoretic deposition method. In this paper, a ‘non-sintering treatment’ was investigated using the zeolite powder by addition of colloidal silica. As a result, the zeolite was deposited on the substrate from the following solvents; Na-A in acetonitrile, Na-Y in acetone, H-ZSM5 in acetonitrile added benzoic acid. Zeolite films formed in the above solvents with colloidal silica upon heating at 400°C. As a result, the Vickers hardness of the films increased with increasing the addition of colloidal silica. By the addition of colloidal silica, the hard films were prepared on the various shaped substrates without sintering.
