Resumo

Resistance to insecticides has been slower to appear in stored-product insects than in other insect pests. Parkin (1965) discussed some of the possible reasons for this slower development of resistance. It is now becoming apparent, however, that with long-term use of insecticides, higher levels of resistance are developing also in stored-product insects.
