Resumoreveals of the pylon of the Amon-temple. Below the Seti II reliefs, royal names were placed in front of the figures of kneeling Hapi-gods carrying trays of offerings. As copied by Roeder, the Horus name is Ks-nht Mr-Hipy, the prenomen is S?t-Rc Mry-Imn, and the nomen seems to be Wsr-ni?ct-Rc Stp-n-R'.1 Roeder regarded these as the names of Ramses II, and thought that he was being honored here as founder of the Amon-temple.2 Identification with Ramses II was based primarily on the lower elements of the nomen (stp-n-Rc), but examination of the published photos of the north reveal show that what was copied as a disk could be a loaf t?
