The ♂, nymph and larva of Ixodes (I.) motltoyanus Cooley are described and illustrated. This specieswas previously recorded from 5 ♀ specimens from Monserrate municipality, Bogotá, Colombia. Three of the present collections are from Departmento del Cauca, Colombia, on Pudu sp. and a fourth from Estado Merida, Venezuela, on Mazama sp.
