ResumoThis study aims to clarify how the villages in the plain field on the lower reaches of Yasu River, Shiga Prefecture, had formed. Especially, the arrangement of the farmhouse in Nojiri Village in the middle Meiji period and the composition of the block based on the Jyori-grid system are focused. As the result, its relations on the road access to site and the location of waterway are decided, and the residential area is composed of some blocks ,and the model scale is 1/2 × 1 “cho”, and the uniformity is composed of the sites where the farmhouse is regularly located.
