ResumoThis study seeks to clarify the diffusion structures of farmer inns that host experience-based education tours in the Aito area of Higasiomi city, Shiga. They involve invitations put forth by the farmer inns themselves, and a diffusion process that mainly involves local inhabitants. In outlining this solicitation route, we determined the following by undertaking interviewbased surveys: (1) There is a history of exchange projects just former Aito Town, (2) The diffusion process involved invitations by a few key persons, that is, dyadic ties, and (3) The diffusion structure had characteristics that changed according to the year in which the farmer inn hosted the tour.
