Resumo

SummaryExperiments were made using various treatments of stock plants as well as with differing qualities of supplementary light given to daughter plants. As flowering only occurred in LD and not in SD, it was concluded that Aeschynanthus is a LD plant. Day-extension treatments are most effective if they contain a mixture of red and far-red light. There is evidence that flowering may be affected by the light quantity or quality received during the main light period. The experiments indicate that light treatments given to the stock plants may influence the flowering of the cuttings.
