ResumoPost-traumatic morbidity, including post-traumatic stress disorder, in children and adolescents attracts increasing attention in relation to diverse stressors. Continuing clinical description and research are needed to clarify the range and course of post-traumatic reactions, the developmental variation of symptoms and the factors influencing individual vulnerability. The development of clinically relevant screening methods, preventive strategies following traumatic events and evaluation of treatment responses is critical.
