This paper discusses the musical field Bahia, featuring historic aspects of ax music from the precursors to the contemporary as well as highlighting the importance of the bandwagon to spread the carnival. Thus, it must engage with theorists who refer to this subject such as: Milton Moura, Joao Jose Reis, Paulo Cesar de Oliveira Miguez, George Moutinho, Ricardo Mauricio Freire Soares, Alexandre Castro Armando, Marilda Santanna.
