Resumo

The Cu(II) complex with xylenol orange has been studied by electroanalytical and spectroscopic methods. The stability constant of the complex was calculated from polarographic data, and the composition was determined from the id-mole ratio (Cu(II) to xylenol orange) and the absorbance mole ratio plots. The reduction mechanism is discussed.
