This paper aims at discussing what emotional design is, considering the global research scenario. This way, it reviews the definition of the field, including its focus, origins, before focusing on the three mainly discussed approaches in the current research (Jordan, 1999a; Desmet, 2002; Norman, 2004).Key words: Emotional Design, Design, Emotion, Emotion Psychology.
